New Series: Things in Real Life that Resemble Touhou (Shanghai Cafe, Kourindou in Chiba, and “I Was a ⑨”)
A User-Submitted Photo Project
[A User-Submitted Photo Project] Introducing “Touhou photos in real life.” Featuring humorous photos that’ll make you go “Is that a Touhou reference?”
Here are some pictures that won’t wow you so much you’ll stop in your tracks. Instead, we want to showcase the photo submissions that will make you chuckle a little and say, “Hey, that looks like something from Touhou”. Introducing our new series where we collect user submissions of the Things in Real Life that Resemble Touhou!
We would like to thank everyone for sending us so many fantastic submissions as well! In the near future, we’ll be using these wonderful entries for this series when we have the time for it.
Shouldn’t this be tea? (Username: Miyataho)
We could at the very least imagine Meiling going for some coffee to pep herself up, but we doubt mild coffee would be that effective.
A Kourindou in Chiba?
Stumbled upon this during a night stroll. I wonder if it’s a shop or someone’s place/apartment (Username: Kagen)
⛩️ Editors’ Comment:
Picture this: a man returns from his dayjob at the second-hand store and climbs the stairs to his apartment on the third floor… As long as we’re speculating here, maybe he’s running a private detective agency on the First floor”. We’re also interested in what the multi-purpose hall on the second floor is all about.
📷 This Week’s Best Photo: I Was a ⑨.
From the comment section on a report card I got from my 1st grade homeroom teacher. Doesn’t this remind you of her? (Username: Hisui)
⛩️ Editor’s Comment: Just reading this conjured the image of you-know-who loudly annoucing her answers while bullets whiz past. (One, two, ⑨!!)
We’re accepting more submissions for “Things in real life that resemble Touhou.” Looking forward to all future submissions!
