On May 11th, 2021, Next Ninja released Touhou LostWord Global. The game is officially downloadable on the Apple Store and the Android Play Store. 

In Touhou LostWord, the main protagonists, Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame, are resolving yet another major incident. This time, however, they’re travelling through multiple alternate universes to find the “Lost Word” in each world. Join familiar faces of the Touhou Project such as Youmu Konpaku, Remilia Scarlet, Sanae Kochiya and more as you collect resources, battle enemies, and learn about the various mechanics of the game.

Gameplay wise, LostWord is a turn-based RPG where you execute moves such as character shots, Spell Cards, or Last Words to clear out enemies. Most stages consist of three waves of enemies, although some may feature only one. Spell cards are much stronger than shots, but you can only use a maximum of four. Last Words are your character’s most powerful attacks; once used, however, your Spell Cards won’t be accessible, so try to be strategic with them. 

A total of 18 characters will be featured on launch, with more to come along the way. Furthermore, LW Global’s release will include the first story chapter, story cards full of familiar faces, multiple character voice options, Touhou arrangements from Touhou circles (such as COOL&CREATE and BUTAOTOME) and various character costumes. 

You will also receive a free Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame as part of the pre-registration campaign, as well as seal crystals and coins (for all your gacha needs), plus a few bonus story cards to help players get started.
